ANyone use this in there 30/378? If so what loads are u using as i cant find any..
Cheers

H50BMG and US 869, I started at 104 for both. I got 3150 fps out of a 34 in tube
I thought you'd get more with the 30-378. I get 3000 fps out of the 300 ultra with a 26" barrel and a 225 hornady hpbt with rl50 and a 215. Dang hard hitting, haven't gone critter thumping with it yet though. Kicks like a mule in a 9# er without a brake.

I thought 104 grns of 50bmg is a bit light,as the data from the ADI site
gives 118.5 grns of 2218 (50BMG) for the 220 grn projectile. So i suppose drop about 3-4 grns might be in the ball park, i just thought someone might have done a more thorough test. I am going to the range this week so i will see how it goes.

We got up to 102 grains of rl50 with the 225 in the 300 Ultra, but the compression was pretty stiff. I got to 98 grains at 2870 fps cool weather with normal loading. I haven't gotten around to hitting the combo with a drop tube to see if I could get over 102 grains, but if I can it will go faster within normal pressure range.
I'd try rl50 in your 30-378 and start around where I've topped out with the 300 Ultra and go from there.
