Hello,

Just picked up a 223 Savage varmint/target. I realize loads can be rifle specific, but I was wondering if anyone had a favorite load for 50-55. Thanks

first off we need the twist of the rifel, then those who have the same twist will be able to help you out better.

but to give ana answer to your question anyway here goes.my 1:12 likes to shoot a 55gn NBT with 27.5gn of Varget and a 52 gn SMK with 25.0gn of 4064

and my 1:9 likes to shoot a 69gn NCC with 24.5gn of IMR 8208 XBR.but this one load is .8gn's over the max from the Hodgdon web site.so if you choose to try this bullet and powder please work up to it.even in my rifel I have no BAD pressure signs at this time.and let me say that is just flat out shoots me,even the wife with this load can shoot under a 1/2 inch at 100 yards.and she has only shoot the rifel twice.

Thanks, this was a quick post as I was headed out to Church. Should have added the 1:9. Thanks again
