i'm working on a long range load for my 300 win mag.working with 200smk at this point.would like to try 220smk,more downrange enrgy,less wind drift.anyone have any loads to try for the 220smk??????

71.5 grains of IMR4831, 72 grains of IMR7828, 71 grains of reloader 22. All these loads are for the 220 match king. These are all 1000 yard loads I shoot in my rifles. Good luck.
somewhere between 70 and 80gr of H1000, the planets align, angels sing, rainclouds part, and bullets fly downrange with an ES so low you will think your chrony is broken. It really is spooky. I haven't found a WM that it didn't work in yet... up to 6 and counting. Super super stable powder.
If you want a good long range load then try the Berger 210VLDs. I tried the 220s in my 300WM and they shot very good but the 210s shot better and you can get them moving a little faster and they also have a higher BC than the 220SMKs. I use RL22 exclusivley in my 300WM and it works great with everything from 190s up. My load with the 210s is 71grns in a Winchester case with Federal 215M primers(CAUTION: WORK UP TO THAT LOAD). I'm getting 2950fps out of that load and have shot it to 1650 yards and it performed very well. I used to it to place second 3 times at the Alleghany Sniper Challenge. Try them out.
