410yds 22 creed loving the 73 AH!
this was a barrel my smith pulled off that had 100 rds on it, guy couldnt get to shoot elds thought it was a bad barrel got it cheap lucky for me lolI'd call it load developement done!
Ready to rock and roll for all big game
this one is a 8twist, i been running them in a 7t 22/284 and a 6.5t 22saum. im surprised they r stable in this 8t, at my 1000ft elevation, but the 90 degree temp probably helps.Good shooting.
What twist rate in your barrel?
they love a 7tGood info. Thanks...
I may have to try some in my 7-twist 22 Creed.
i run all of them listed its better to have enough for sure, the 83 would tumble in a 7t, so a built a 6.5 twist 22/6, it runs great in it, im at 1000ft elevation. the 73Ah was made at my request, seems the longer bullets need 1.70 on the calulator to stablize from what iv seen. the 73Ah has been working really well the.100 shorter really helps vs 75ah, 83hhI see they also sell a 75gr Absolute Hammer and a 83gr Hammer Hunter.
73gr AH requires 7.25-twist @ 1.10" bullet length.
75gr AH requires 6.5-twist @ 1.20" bullet length.
85gr HH requires 7-twist @ 1.225" bullet length.
Their recommended "minimum" twist rates surprise me, so I'm gonna run some twist rate calculations for all three of these bullets based on their supplied bullet length information.
they tumble at my elevation in 7s if ur up high u might try it but id go with the 73sThanks a bunch for sharing your experiences on bullet stability. Their recommendations seem a bit off based on the bullet lengths provided.
The 75gr AH wouldn't stabilize in your 7-twist either?
yep thats why they made the 73, 75s just to long, i shot both out to 720 yds not much difference in bc, .35 on 73s, .38 on 75s is what i dial for, 73s shot 2.5 at 600 yds in my 22/284, thanksI tried the 75's in my 7 twist at about 650 elevation = nope lol. It was before the 73's came out. Dam, that's really good shooting. I'm running the 90 bergers but no where near that speed. Thanks for posting!
