Anyone here got any loading data for this caliber. I'll be loading 65 to 80 grain bullets. My rifle has a 1 in 8" twist!

Thanks,
Chuck

The one I worked up data for was a savage, with a 28" 1:8 Pacnor.
We shot the 80 SMK over H4831, and IMR 4320. H4831 went 3370 with 44 gr, and IMR 4320 went 3356 with 38.5. H4831 was the more accurate, and had the best ES.
We shot the 75 Amax and 77 SMK over RL22 and H4831. The RL22 got 3671 with 45.8gr, and the H4831 got 3522 with 44.5. Again the H4831 was the best performer accuracy and velocity consistancy wise. Federal plimers on all. We also did a 35 vmax load for this rifle, with some impressive velocities... too bad they fly like a pingpong ball!

Thanks Abinok,

The friend that I got this rifle from said he used 4831 but had wondered how 4350 and a few other powders might perform. Me I will most likely stick with 4831 it's already a proven performer! Thanks again! I like your signature I'm also a member of the new Joshua generation! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
