Wanting to run 180s on a 22" on a lightweight setup, I've got a factory 700 sendero that's like a boat anchor. Looking for input from anyone that has experience with this setup or something similar. Shots mainly sub 500 yard.

I have done several builds on 22" light rifles. 28 Nosler, 7 RM, 7 PRC, 7 Saum, they were all great. Components varied, actions were Antix, Kratos Light, and Rem 700. Barrels varied from Benchmark and Proof CF, and a few Bartlein 2B's and maybe a #3. Manners LRH and Peak 44 were the stocks used at first, then the Manners PH and the McMillan Mountain Tracker LR. The Mc Millan is my new favorite.

I shoot a 7 SAUM with 180s close to 2900 out of a 24" Brux barrel. Rifle weights 5 lbs and very easy to shoot when suppressed. 7 RM in a 22" would get you similar results, probably a tad faster. I've build some 7 PRCs in 22" and 20" configurations and they ran 2850 ish with factory ammo.
