I got myself a Accumark in 300 Weatherby and put a Minox ZA5 4X20X50 with side focus. I finally got a place here to shoot up to 700 yards and would like to try the Hornady 208 gr. A Max. I usually shoot 210 Bergers and get around 1 to 1.25" groups at 100 yards. The trigger is clean and crisp at 3 lbs and I'm hoping that the A Max's will work better with a jump. The magazine keeps me at 3.7" OAL and I believe that gives me around .080 jump. Any info on data for the A Max in a 300 Weatherby would be greatly appreciated. Hornady told me to use their 220 grain data and work up and I guess I'm looking for a little more info. Thank you, PaLuke

If your accumark is throated like my vanguard, I load to 3.81" with the 208s and its still .120" jump to the lands. Mine would shoot around 5/8moa at 100yrds with a 3.685" oal but shoots between 3/8and 1/2 moa with the 3.81" oal. With the 208 and the 3.685" oal I use H1000, I started with 81grns in wby brass with fed215m primers, work up in .5grn increments, may top out between 85 and 87grns at over 3k fps. If you want published data use data from the hodgdons page for the 200grn accubond as the weight and bearing surface length are very close. Good luck, be safe!

thank you for the reply. Ill try what you said and will post the results first chance I get. Thanks again
