Had a great day of hunting here opening day in South Dakota. My home turf is so beautiful, I can't imagine living anywhere else.

565yds. One shot from my 7mm Norma Mag Improved. Berger 195 EOL @ 3100fps.

That's no slouch. Congrats. Another 200 fps than my 195s, that's moving. What does bullet do at those speeds? I have lost almost zero meat in three critters. It had been about 6 years for me too.

It was a pass through. About a golf ball size hole coming out. I was back far enough to miss the off-side shoulder... so I saved basically all my meat.

What county u in? I leave in Sioux Falls but we typically hunt Butte and Harding for goats. It is beauty all it's own
