We were able to close the deal on some cows on a draw unit and mitigation tags. 28 nosler and 6.5 creed. My boys first elk

Lot's of "table fare" for the family. Congratulations.....got'r done all at one time.

We'll be hunting cows this year. For the last 4 or 5 years, we've had bull tags and had "tag soup" only. I "would not" let my wife shoot early in the season, hoping for the big one. We've passed on quite a few elk.....and then went home "empty handed"! Wife "****ed"! This year, we applied for "cows only"....there will be no passing-up on elk this year! memtb

Where did you hunt? Nice size cows. I drew a cow tag on the Jicarilla Apache Reservation, near Dulce, NM for mid-December. It hard to wait, but it gives me time to work on my 28 Nos loads.
