Has anyone had any experience with this bullet in the 30-06? Running it through a stability calculator it seems like it would stabilize fine in a 1 in 10 30-06. And has anyone used this combo on game?

That is a fine oal to be able to go that long if it's not a custom build? The 200 should give you an extra 75-125 fps

I have to single feed the rifle but the bullets are about .010 from the lands. I was able to the the 215s to about 2750 (wasn't an accurate load so I bumped it down) so is it reasonable to think 2750 to 2850 is where I'll be with the 200?

Slinging them faster that I thought. How long is the barrel

You have two questions on your post. I have never shot the SMK HPBT bullets, but have experience with the 200 grain bullets out of my 30-06. It is a 26 inch Lilja, 1:10 twist barrel. I posted a target that I shot with the 199 grain Hammer bullets and I believe these bullets were running 2500fps. The POI change was due to a scope adjustment. So...I believe that your 1:10 twist barrel ought to shoot the 200gr bullets quite well with some load development.

The reason I'm curious about it is because sierra recommends a 1 in 9 for that bullet. But they look to be more stable than the 215s
