2009 Wild Bison in Wyoming

Well here is a video of the killshot on this 22 1/2 year old bull. It was just a chip shot but very cool to watch. ~125yds w/ 338 ultramag. My buddy shot him placing the bullet perfectly behind the head about 2 or 3 vertebrae from the base of the skull. Enjoy!

How did you know he was 22 1/2?

The Wyoming Game and Fish Dept. took two teeth to analyze. About six months later they send the results of their analysis to the hunters. They also do this on moose, bear, as well as a few other trophy class animals. In addition to the teeth they had us collect a couple vials of blood and pull out a few tail hairs making sure we pulled the roots out too.
