finally got to load some rounds for my 300 ultra i started at 90 gr and work up to 95 in 1/2 gr increments shooting 5 shoot groups at 100yds 55 rounds total shoulders a little sore. Best group was at 94gr and 95gr with 95 giving me the best at a little under 3/4moa i'm sure someone with better from would close it up more. I'm pretty sure this is close to max if not allready there primers starting to flow a little and extracter marks can someone run this on quick load and see what the velocity might be . I'm shooting a 700p 26 inch barrel rem brass fed gm 215 primmers and retumbo at 94 gr and 95 gr temp was 84 today and i'm about 10ft above sealevel if that info is helpfull thanks in advsnce stxhunter

Using 95 Grs. with the Fed 215 at 700 ft above sea level and 50 degrees in a 26 inch barrel I averaged 3225 with a 8 ES. Hope this helps.

I am shooting 94 gr of retumbo.

Rem Sendero 26in tube.

4000 ft elevation.

3075fps average.

1/2in groups at 100.

what is your COAL? I can run quickload for you. The 300 rum with 200 gr 'should" max out around 3150 under sane pressures.

Stay with the 94gr. charge with Retumbo. If you press it past that you will open the primer pockets pretty quick and have to chunk the brass.

At 94gr. of Retumbo, the 210Vld was 3100 out of my Sendaro. The 200 Nosler was 3263,3267,3261 dirty barrel and 3190,3196,3197 with clean barrel using 91.5 of RL-25. Keep in mind that the RL-25 is very very temp sensitive down here where we are.

Tim i'll back it off to 94 till i get the chrono and see what its actually doing . Im not to worried about brass as long as i get 2or3 loads per case i'll be happy i look at like when i use to build and race mopars and peaple would ask how i could afford to spend 6 dollors a gallon on 112 octane race gas and i'd tell um if i was worried about the cost of fuel i wouldnt of built it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif but i will back it off for safety reasons thanks for all the info

Remember now, quick load is not a panacea! It is just a reference to let you know you're doing. 94 sounds really good to me. That is waht I was shooting BTW.
