20 inch 308 win with heavy bullets

Hello all I know there couple people loading heavy per caliber bullets in 308 win and I'm looki g at loading 185s and 210 in my 20 inch barrel 308 what velocity can I expect and with the 20 inch barrel be able to stabilize the longer heavier bullets thanks

Cool deal I've got varget,tac,cfe223 and imr 4064 to use also have had good luck with n550 in my 308 as well

I shoot 208's in my 20" 700 LTR at 2400'. I got a load at 2500' but the accuracy with Re17 was at 2400.

This is approx 3.0" OAL. If using a SA it will need to be single feed unless you modify the mag well with a Baney box or similar.

Before I got my barrel replaced it was shooting 195 TMK's at 2530 and 185 juggernauts at 2550. I was using Reloader 15

Might want to look at Alliant Power Pro 2000MR. Probably a bit tough to find now if you don't have any, but it works VERY well for mag length heavies in the .308

I'm shooting the 205 Berger in an 11.125" twist.
