1st f class shoot (any advice)

getting into longrange shooting going to my first f class shoot this weekend just out from mackay, sunday is only 300m but got to crawl before i walk.
i shooting at 200m around an inch

so this sunday will be out to 300m should be good fun hopefully meet some
good people there with plenty advice so i can keep pushing my distance.

anyone here got any advice for me? love to here it

Ditto. Relax and have some fun.

Watch your wind. There should be some wind flags out there. Try to time your shots so you are always using the same wind if it's gusting a little.

If it changes significantly be sure and add/subtract as needed for your windage correction.

Again, relax and have fun it's not like your dinner depends on how you shoot!
 
Where's Mackay?

Zero your rifle for 300 yards before you go.

Check your zero at the shoot.

Don't worry about winning. Keep aware of what others are doing. Enjoy. Have fun.

Oh, and hold the exact amount into the wind with each shot.:D:D
 
308- what rifle and scope? how many rounds?? i am excited for you. you will learn a lot. where is makay? what weather do you expect?

standard tikka t3 s/s varmint scope bushnell elite 5x15x40
weather looking real good, my rifle is zeroed in at 200m at the moment

mackay is 1000km north of brisbane right on the coast
 
thanx for all the advice guys uv realy taking the nerves out of it for me by everyone telling me just to have fun and learn as much as i can

yeah ahd a ball everyone there were real helpful and my spotting coach was great
i scored 56.4 out of 60
then a 57.3 out of 60
they said i came 5th out of 18 so i was pretty happy with that
will do it again for sure gun)
