This is the shotgun I grew up hunting whitetail with and don’t need it anymore. I don’t foresee passing it on to children. Immaculate condition. The blueing is 100%. The wood finish is also 100% except for a couple of small spots where I dinged or scratched it. I tried to capture that in the pictures.

I bought this sometime around 2000 and it was made in April 1979, verified by serial number. The smooth barrel is a 28″, I think. Modified choke. I actually never shot the smoothbore, as I don’t bird hunt. 12ga 2 3/4″.

The rifled barrel is a Remington 12ga 2 3/4″ scope cantilever mount, purchased sometime around 2000-2002. I’ve only ever shot Lightfield Hybred EXP out of it and it is incredibly accurate with those. Last I remember it was about 1.5″ at 100. I can’t remember the twist of the barrel.

I don’t remember the brand of the scope, but was purchased at the same time as the barrel. It’s a 1-7x, 1″ tube. Glass is plenty clear and bright for the ranges you’d shoot. It looks rough, but that’s because the rubberized coating melted off for some reason. However, the scope is solid. After zeroing it when I bought it, I never had to adjust the zero again even after dropping it out of my tree stand.

I would consider selling just the barrel/scope if interested. $300 shipped

$900 shipped in continental US.

i have this one's twin. it's hard not to buy it so my little boy can one day have a matching gun to Dad....
Same here growing up with my dad, except his had a vent rib and he just shot slugs out of the smoothbore.

I have the 11-87 version with an extra rifled slug barrel, was thinking about putting it on here. Never mind now, no need to saturate the market. The barrels change out fast. You can thump a whitetail and blast some geese out of the sky the same day.

I believe I got mine in 1979 also for Christmas.
90% of all the deer I've taken is with that gun
I retired mine😁. It earned it. Oh the memories
My best deer, with that ol gun
