Took my little guy out for his first ever shed hunt today. He was a trooper! We walked about 3 miles today in some thigh deep snow at times. Found 9 matching sets. Great day to be in the woods! Get out there with your kids!

The set he's holding in the pics scored 143 6/8" without a spread. Figure a 17" spread, plus he broke off about 5" of his g3. Mid 160s buck if he's all intact. Hope to find him next year for my daughter who will have her first buck tag!WOW you have some really nice deer in your area!!!

This is a little early for sheds even up in ND. Usually we don't really shed hunt until march but bucks are dropping early this year so get em before the rodents! Just don't chase them off their winter grounds or it can prove detrimental to them. I like to wait until the deer are off the fields so we don't spook them before wandering out there.Man sounds like a great day in the field. Trying to wrap my mind around shed hunting in January as they are still rutting here in MS. Saw two different does getting chased this morning.
