From looking at the internal picture of the 155 308 bullet, with it's frontal cavity almost void of lead, I thought I might be able to use it on games. But field test makes me thinks otherwise. Just look at these pictures:
Here's what it did on my steel target at 535 yards (impact energy roughly around 1433 ft/lbs). At this distance the 168 Nosler Comp just smear the paint with lead.
And here's the result on a half gallon jug full of water at 591 yards (impact energy around 1323 ft/lbs)
Entry hole:
Exit hole. As you can see, the bullet just penciled thru'.
