140 grain 6.5mm Hunting Bergers

Has anyone had any luck stabizing them in a 1-9 twist barrel
I see the target will work in a 1-9 but not recomended for hunting

I have a McWhorter Custom in 6.5 Wby that stabilizes the Berger 140 VLD-H's no problem with a 1-9 twist barrel. Rifle shoots bug holes all day long.

What elevation are you shooting and at what muzzle velocity?

They stabilized out of a 264 win mag in a sendero for me at about 3160fps and I believe that those have a 9 twist.

I also shoot them at 2980 from a 8.5 twist 6.5-06.

These were both at about 1500 feet above sea level.

Elevation is anywhere from 250 to 450 ft. Muzzle velocity is 3250 fps.
