I am getting ready to work up a load for a good friendbof mine in his M77 .270win he has chosen a 130gr sierra gameking for the bullet. my question is what would be better the 100v or H4350 for an accurate hunting load. thanks in advance for all the advice you guys always provide me with it is truly appreciated.-John

Most Rugers have 22" barrels so I would look at IMR 4350 over the slower burning Hodgdon powder, it will most likely perform better in the shorter length barrel. I have had great success with IMR 4831 in my Model 700 with a 22" barrel, I shoot a 140gr bullet though so it may not work for you.

If you have some H4831 or the SC version work up to 60 grs with those 130 SGKs with Rem cases and CCIBR2 primers. I have loaded this load for a BUNCH of 270 wins over the past 30+ years and it usually goes together like ice cream and apple pie. Other wise one of my older Sierra manuals list 53.2 grs IMR 4350 with their 130 gr bullet as the suggested accuracy load. They used a Win M-70 with a 26" barrel and says this load did 3000 fps. The H4831 load will do 3000+ fps from a 22" and 3150 or so from a 24". Either of the 130 Sierra bullets BT or FB kill deer DEAD IN THEIR TRACKS most of the time.
