My G40 is my backcountry sidearm...I added a SS guide rod and stiffer spring, along with a Ghost connector, night sights and a Holosun 507. It shoots the 220 grain Underwood hardcast extremely well.

I've got a similar setup. My reloads are 200 gr XTP flying at 1300fps and I can ring an 8" steel plate at 50 yds with every shot.
