One thing about kids is that they haven't spent twenty or thirty years thinking something was impossible so they aren't afraid to try.
Congrats to you both.
Gotta love kids with guns!!
My youngest PETA member started shooting my does for me at about 200 yards when he was 6 years old. He used my Rem VS in 220 swift. After a few years I had gotten that gun rebarreled with a Brux Dasher tube. At ten we went out to the range to do a little shooting. We never just went out to shoot...always just that one shot a year at the deer. I figured we could streach things out a little, so I had him shoot a group off of the bi pod at 300....5 shot group.... 3/4 inch. I got fairly excited over the deal.....his responce.....you got it..."whats the big deal dad". Anyway...that year he shot his (my) doe at 517 yards. At 11 I started to take him to mid range "F" classs shoots. Last year we did one of the IBS 1000yd 2 day shoots in Harris. He did great...pit duty and all. He did real well last year with my 6.5 WSSM in "F" class. I usually fireform brass for my Dasher at the "F" class shoots, so I let him shoot my "good" gun.
