1/2x28 TPI 308 Muzzle Brake for .580 Dia Barrel

Have a light weight rifle and looking for good brake radial or baffle let me know what you got.
I was think a Muscle or MBM but I believe I need gunsmith to turn and bore both of them.

You can use those for anything from 300 RUM down to 223. They have a bore diameter that accepts anything .308 or smaller.

If your muzzle is already threaded, you can get self-indexing MBs bored for your caliber/chambering.

I've hear that getting a brake closer to the diameter of your bullet maximizes the reduction in felt recoil. But, for $40, I might try this one out. Thank you!

Yes, there is an ideal clearance, i.e., .020" over bullet diameter.
