I'd be guessing as both my 270's are regular 270's with 10 twist but I'd say you would be alright with a hornady flat base but may be a bit slow on a bt match. Trying it may be your only answer.

With a 270 dont use over a 130 gr with a 1:11 twist. Its really the bullet length, not weight that matters. Take it from me, that its likely a 130 gun. Nothing wrong with that.

If it was a 28cal it would be marginal, but a 27cal possibly not at that weight and length? As stated by @gabell727 bullet length.

Is it a factory barrel? I haven't heard of Savage having a 1-11" twist. It could be a 1-11 but as far as I know Savage had 1-10's.
