  • I've been using Hornady 6.5 143 ELD-X In my PRC, they have been outstanding. In Grand Rapids so if you like keep in touch.
Snox- In Doing some research - I noticed that you posted that you have a 300 PRC w/ a 1:8 twist and you were considering hammer bullets…. Can you tell me if you went with a Hammer (and if so what weight)?

I'm done shooting Berger bullets on game! Don't get me wrong… they are great for ringing steak, but I find that they are inconsistent on game.

    Thanks,
    Tom

I ended up with a .30 Sherman that is basically the PRC improved.
I'm running the 214gr hammers and they are fantastic.
In the PRC I would lean towards the 199gr for a bit more speed.
I agree on the Berger's. Hammers have been the most consistent bullet I've tried in any rilfe.
    Hello Snox,

You mentioned hog hunting guides in a post. Still have them.

    Thank you

To be honest the one I had that wa strata went south. He partnered with another fellow me who had the same idea as most. They think this problem they have should also make them rich. Decided to charge 300 a hog. I now don't know where to turn for decent prices hints. I usually end up buying a hunt somewhere in Texas for something else and they throw in pigs but don't sell the hunts separate.
Hello Levi, I was reading your post and saw you were still waiting in 2016 for your KA rifle. Curious if you have received your rifle?
My name is Rani and I live in Lansing. I have a rifle on order from KA.

I have not received it yet. He did say just last week that it was being completed. So hopefully very soon.
I think you were interested in my H@R ultra slug hunter. I want to get rid of it you wanted the barrel for another project. Let me know if you are still interested.
As a matter of fact I just ordered a gen 1 night vision with light. Gonna start with that. I don't have much use other than once a year, but if I get my pig ranch going this fall in Mississippi I will be getting a thermal scope attachment so I can switch guns easily.
Do you have NV or thermal scopes? I haven't seen any signs yet, but it's hot enough that they will only be active after the sun goes down.
