If I could run numbers I wouldn't need books and the internet.

Speaking of the I-net, mine shows 115gr bullets sighted in at 200 yards with a MV of 3400fps drops about 48 inches at 400 yards. Is that about right or is the book wrong?

Books wrong. That is closer to your 600 yard drop.

They are great numbers, but the beauty of the quarter Bee is a you can run a 10 twist factory barrel and you are still on rails to 600 yards with something like a 110AB at 35ish.

X-Bolts are typically pretty accurate and for $2500 you can get one of there're upgraded versions. I also would cast a vote for Zermatt action build. I also have a Savage 110 Ultralite that shoots lights out, but the stock is cheap. However Pure Precision makes a good upgrade for it though. The latest Weatherbys seem like a good option too but I never owned one. As you saw from other posts, I would stay away from Fierce as I have friends that had issues as well.

I've shot some of my tightest groups with a couple of X bolt LR's I have.

I was going to mention the 2020 if no one else had. You can get pre-fit barrels from Proof now. Though the factory options I've seen are a 24" barrel.
