I just wanted to share this with anyone who may be interested. Cameron Murphy at Murphy Precision can do a front bevel cut on his picatinny rails, if you think you need more clearance for the bell of your scope objective. I ran into this issue on another rifle trying to get proper eye relief. A short action shouldn't present a problem but when putting a shorter scope on a long action while also trying to keep it low as practical, a little extra space could help. He uses stainless steel or titanium in black or natural finish. They are quality products so they aren't cheap.

If you're a Tikka fan, he also does a short picatinny rail that ends just forward of the front screw in leu of the front bevel cut. All of his Tikka rails also include the necessary recoil pins appropriate for the T3/T3x actions.

Murphy Precision does impeccable work. They also make precision pic rails for almost any action imaginable. I had them make me a base for a long discontinued custom Lawton action. It fit like a glove. I've also had a few 10moa rails done by them.
