How do you ensure your suppressor doesn't back off? I try to always physically inspect mine and have found times where it was starting to loosen up. Just curious what the masses do.
My 5.56 suppressor is a direct thread and it has never came loose. Even with 100rd strings of fire. I thread the can on until it's about 1/4-1/3 turn from seating. I then snap my wrist real hard, threading the suppressor on the rest of the way. It usually tightens it up pretty well and still allows you take it off by hand.
I used to just man handle them and twist them on hard. It always worked without backing off, but now I just use a suppressor wrench and give them a little snugging up turn once they bottom out.
The cans seem to lock on harder as they heat up, or at least mine do.
