If you need some bigger capacity cases to test them in I'd love to see what they can do in a 22x55 Swede Improved! Could test terminal and fur friendliness on northern coyotes as well

interesting that they fragmented so much at 700yds, short range will be devastating at higher velocities. were these the long range or mag fed design? how much lower in velocity do you expect them to still expand and was the fragmentation part of the design for the smaller cal. i was under the impression your design was more of a weight retention design.
Exactly what I thought. I asked the same question on a different thread. In most of the pictures in the terminal performance thread the shanks found have shed the nose petals. Which I personally prefer.

This was a Magazine Feed. I dont put a set standard on bullet expansion, only that they do expand. Allot of the bullets we have listed that stay together are at or under 2000fps impact testing. Some of our bullets stay together better than others like the 30cal 168GR Standard and 30cal 178GR. On average our bullets will blow the front off down to 2100-2300 and below stay together, but every bullet seems to have a bit of a different personality. Both functions kill very well.

Also impact resistance can change bullet expansion. A heavy bone can make bullet react differently than slipping between two ribs, but bullet will expand either way.
did you record how deep the core and petals penetrated?
using your 2000fps impact velocity only has 650ft/lb. of energy which isn't a lot to break up the bullet and still penetrate especially if hitting bone.
are you planning any close range impact tests or even ballistic gel tests? I know gel isn't perfect but it gives a snapshot of how and when the bullet fragmentated and how deep the core penetrated.

I'm going to find out on a wild boar in the next couple days. Most likely sub 400 yards. I have one block of ballistic gel but I'm not sure if I will use it for this. I don't do allot of ballistic gel testing. These will be loaded up in my guide gun for a while and we will see how they do. Are bullet usually are fully deployed going into the animal based on what I have seen
will be looking forward to the results. interested in these in my 22ARC, they are talk of going lead free here. might up the velocity to 22GT but definitely not interested in high velocity with total destruction and meat loss on entrance. shots here will be under 300yds maybe stretch to 400YDS after seeing results.
