Windypants. . . ???

So you're running 215s or 230s at 3125 out of a 28"? You've stated that with 215s the 30-28 has no advantage because it won't push to the next node. The advantage of the 30-28 is with 230s?
Correct. I've never shot the 215's. It shines with the 230's—both HT and OTM. I tried the 245's and the 3050 node was too close to pressure and unstable. The 230's outperform the 245's in the 2900 fps node. I even tried the .30 cal Hornady ELD-VT's for a coyote load. I had 'em running 3400 and shooting one hole groups at 100 yards, but they couldn't stay in 1 MOA at 1000, so I lost interest. That's what was hard on my barrel!

Interesting. Ankther member here loves running the 245s in his 30 noz. Hes running them 2950 in a 24". I'd think in a 28" it's pretty close to the same? This is the only reason asking. Wondering for my next chamber if the 30-28 is worth the hassle.
These speeds are obviously not saami form chambers...
