I'm about to pull the trigger on an XLR element magnesium. I'm cutting it close for an NRL lite rifle. My barreled action, scope, base, bipod and pic rail w/ hardware come in at 10lb 3.1oz. I'd get the non folder version and according to XLR weight calculator, just the chassis and carbon buttstock would be 1lb 11oz. The grip I'll make myself so I can get it under around 1 oz. Total that puts me at 11lb 15.1oz.

Does anyone have a xlr magnesium non folder and wouldn't mind verifying the weight for me? I'd hate to get the chassis and see my math was wrong…

I don't have the weight, but I'd recommend cutting a little more somewhere else, I think the bag rider is a few oz and fairly necessary with the carbon smoke buttstock.

I would omit the bag rider. Another thing I could do is switch muzzle breaks from a little bastard 3 port to a SRS steel or titanium. That would save an oz or two

LA non folder. This is only a 12.75" LOP so take that as you will with your calcs. But I doubt it changes much with another 3/4" of carbon to make it a 13.5" LOP
