If you are looking for a great can to run on your hunting rifle, I can strongly recommend one of these.

Scythe Ti was on my shortlist, but starting to see reports of welds failing now. It's advertised as "no barrel length restrictions" but that may not actually be true.

Hope they get it sorted out.

In like configs (a flat cap on the scythe) the scythe .25" longer and within .5oz.

It is a solid can. No way I'd pick the BC over it. I don't have both only scythe but after reading enough reports about the BC and shooting plus reading about the scythe I don't expect them to be close.

The scythe keeps up with "good" 7" cans (omega 300, ultra 7, DD STi, nomad Ti, etc). Zero chance you'll find that in the BC.

I have the backcountry and the scythe coming. I fill like it's gonna have a hard time doing much better. The backcountry is pretty impressive for its size. I've shot it on everything from a 223 up to a 300wsm.
