Fun hunt in Co again, third season otc bull. Thought I would share a couple pics of the bull and the shot. I used a 26" 7prc and one shot with a berger 180 vld-h handload @3015fps through the front shoulder quartering towards me at 300yds. The bullet blew through scapula and completely dispatched the heart and lungs. The bull took three steps and fell forward on its face dead as a hammer.
This year we were covered up in bulls every day compared to the past years.

Those Berger HVLD's are my favorite varmint bullets and one of my favs for long range hunting. Shot a bull at 1098 with one. Staggered 40 yards down the hill and plied up. Marmots at 800 yards were torn up, and two at 1402 and 1400 yards still showed the bullet to have expanded some.
