Is there a vast difference between a three-port and four-port muzzle brake?
That is where you can tell the difference with lighter rifles and slimmer brakes.Unless you are talking about a 5lb gun, I don't think you could tell the difference.
MDT did a test...I'd be interested to know (on a 300mag) how much of the total reduction can be attributed to the 1st set of ports, second set, and so on.
I'll bet MBM and others know the answer to this question.
I think it depends with the port design. In Nathan's MB test with his beast brake, the 5-port performed better than the 4-port.Interesting^^^^^ Very strange how the 5 point appeared to increase recoil.
