Dad’s Old Stuff

I went through the boxes of my dad's old reloading stuff and found some good stuff. A lot of it is 30-06 for his 700 Remington BDL. Most of the brass has what looks like military stamps. I also found these bullets. I used his recipe for 30-06 with 165grain bullets and it grouped awesome with a Hornady Interbond. I have take 2 deer cleanly with it. Check out those old bullets from the 1970's. I will load them up over the winter.

Really close to what I load in my 06! 48.3 grains 4064 with Nosler 165 BT! In a TC Venture!

Are there any read-able prices on the bullet boxes?

I was 3 when dad came up with that recipe. Other than the round nose bullets, are those hollow point for targets or hunting. Dad doesn't remember and I haven't researched it.

I load 48.7 of IMR4064 and get great groups.

Me too. I better start looking for the stuff left over from the sixties and seventies. Pretty sure it's still illegal.

You beat me by about 6 years. I was 15……my mentor was some hunting magazines and the instruction sheet inside the Lee Loader box!
