I reached out to savage today. Called em and the recording told me they were experiencing a bunch of calls and hung up on me which was nice of them.
Sent them an email. I don't think they can fix the issues I'm having with this gun and I definitely regret buying it.
This is a $200 gun at most. It's a joke. Maybe they will offer to buy it back idk
Been down that road with Remington on the 597 HMR. After Nov 15th I'll have some hunts done with it and will know if I need to go back to my CZ512 22mag.

I received my A17 Sporter .17 WSM a few days ago but haven't had time to scope it nor add a sling.
I also hope the rifle likes 20gr. I have a couple of bricks of it and only a partial box of 25gr.
I had hernia surgery 8/21 gone wrong and am laid up for maybe a long time more. So, will be lucky to hunt before hunting season closes 1/31.

My A17 Sporter has a happy home. I slapped on my old BSA 6X-24X scope and added a sling. Rifle shoots great and is sighted in. It likes 20gr and 25gr fodder.
But I can't hunt yet because of a hernia surgery gone wrong 8/21 and another surgery to fix the first one coming in a couple of weeks. I have been laid up the entire hunting season.

I want a right-hand action with a left-handed stock. Lol I really don't get why they haven't gotten into the 17 WSM. Perhaps a few thousand emails would get some results ?

I called them not too long ago and asked them what their plans were, and they did not include anything other than 22lr and 22wmr for the most part. I wish they would make some lh centerfires. Great rifles, I've owned a few, and still have at least two in the safe, one rh, one lh. I also called Bergara and they basically said the same thing, but they've recently come out with some nice lh rifles. I bought one of their Sierra Wilderness in 7mm PRC and I really like it. I'm still working up a load, but I banged steel twice today at 500 yards with two shots. It's not where I want it yet, but it's getting there. If they built a lh 17 WSM I'd buy it as well. I own three of their rifles and the two I've got worked out are absolute tack drivers. Someone please make a quality 17 WSM!
