New Zeiss V8 NA Scopes... Anybody have one yet?

have been lucky enough to shoot with the v8 and its really Great optics. Solid mechanics. Large. Heavy. It could have been great for F-Class, but the reticle option and turret rotation, and click values are a big miss for F-Class. The optics are beautiful.

Are you talking about the new NA model with 1/4 moa clicks, 30mm tube and multi turn turrets?

The 20x has ssme weight as NX8 4-32 and the 4.5-35 is half pound heavier so no big interest. Im sure the glass is a bit better.

Been eyeing the V8's even before the NA version. Thinking this would be a great lowlight beanfield scope for whitetail. But is it 2k better than the NX8, or 3k better than a Leica Amplus or 1.5k better than a S&B PM2, etc?

Zeiss makes awesome stuff. I'd be surprised if it's that much better than SB.

I've got a V8 1.8-14x50 that I really like (mine is newer 30mm tube not 36mm) but I don't want an objective larger than 50mm. Looks like the N.A. models are either 56 or 60mm objectives.

I'd really like to know the optical difference between the 2.8-20 and the 4.8-35. Does the higher mag option start to fall off optically compared to the lower mag version at a certain power?

I know with the Z8 Swaro that the 2.3-18 is significantly better than the 3.5-28 optically at almost any magnification, and really shows
It's difference in low light. Does the higher mag Zeiss do the same thing?

I answered my own question. I spend the last 3 days with my new 4.8-35.
Honestly the best optic as far as glass I've owned. It almost has no noticeable drop off at max magnification. It's bright. It's clear.
I'll post up a review after a few weeks of it strapped to a 6.5 PRC.

Looking forward to hearing about it.
