Hi all!
long time lurker, first time poster here. Joined back in March after surprisingly drawing a late season Elk tag in arizona, unit 9. It was my first time putting in for the draw and my first time big game hunting. I grew up hunting but fell away from it for a bit and decided to take it back up after moving to arizona about 2 years ago.
I went up solo and while it was a fun experience, i did not know late season elk can be such a hide and seek game. Needless to say i came back empty handed but i learned a lot and i got the bug HARD. Probably saw elk for a combined 30 seconds of my 6 days out in the field. Also, took my 20 lb PRS rifle on the hunt. Not my brightest moment
Regardless though i'm stoked and excited for the next one and happy to meet all of you!
