Thanks for your reply. Yes I am slightly over 400 fps and agree with the one use philosophy for a mechanical broadhead.

Swhacker 150gr 3" cut. Never let me down. I double band the blades and get perfect flight and performance. My buck this year went 40 yards a blind man could follow. It was pouring blood, no drop here and there to deal with, it was a faucet of blood.

I was using 2" rage but I decided to take the other route that doghunter 23 suggested and ordered some grim reaper 1.5" the other day. We'll give them a try next year.

I promise you it's worth it. They fly perfectly and devastate what they hit. Unreal blood trails. You won't regret it3"

How do they go through shoulders and spine? Everything works on a perfectly placed, perfect angle shot. It's tempting to go for the great hole and blood trail. Just depends if you are disciplined enough to not take marginal angle shots or shots through brush that could slightly deflect POI.
Im not and prefer to have two holes. I have been tracking my whole life and started guiding for bow hunters at 15 years old so im a pretty decent tracker.
Im glad they work for you and there's a lot to say for confidence! There is no perfect mechanical broadhead in my opinion.

I have blasted many many deer in the shoulders with this head. Always opens, always a beautiful 3" cut, and always massive bloodtrails. Never shot a spin though. Extreme angles are this BH's specialty. Been tested as one of the best for angled shots. I use mine in both my crossbows a 10Pt vapor RS470. That's going around 450Fps. Or my Ravin R500 going about 485-490 fps. It holds up and blows through anything from any angle I have shot deer. Even both shoulders easily. Here is last years buck. Entrance then exit. I think you'll know which is which. He went about 30 to 40 yards iirc
