APA scope rings issue

unless Optics planet sys they will replace them or give you back your money, I would call your bank and place a do not pay on the order

Optics Planet might be the worst vendor I have dealt with haven't given them business in atleast a decade. It's a sorry world sometimes and it definitely looks like someone swapped out the rings.

This summer I was changing oil and when I opened the oil filter I was surprised to find a used filter that someone had obviously returned. So for even a $5 oil filter people can be dirtbags.

Someone either knowingly returned the APA box with cheap rings, or the vendor selling through OP is selling those cheap rings advertised and boxed like APA rings.

Either way, it's an OP issue and not APA. They should issue you a full refund and return label. Otherwise simply submit a fraudulent charge notice with your cc.

This is insane! Wow! I have ordered from Optics Planet only a few times, but I'm keep this in mind if I ever consider it again.

I ordered my last set directly from APA, as they were cheaper than anybody else and had them in stock. They definitely don't look like those cheap Amazon rings.

APA is definitely not the issue. They have been very helpful and professional. I'm still waiting to hear back from opticsplanet

I wouldn't wait too long on OP before contacting your credit card company. OP isn't known for their stellar CS.

I don't know how OP could send this crap out. If it eas a fraudulent return, how someone didn't inspe t and catch it.
Two times I (attempted to) ordered from Opticsplanet.
Each time, the item was listed as "in stock".
Each time, a week later, I got an email "Item is backordered and will be shipped in 6-8 weeks."
First time, I ordered from somewhere else and waited for 8+ weeks (which turned into 24 weeks) and kept the item as backstock for future use when it finally came in.
2nd time, was listed "in stock" again. Same deal. A week later got an email item was backordered." After 8 weeks, I called to cancel, and was told I would have to pay a restock fee if I cancelled. I asked "How in the hell is it a backstroke fee if you don't even have the item in stock on your shelves now?" I just sent the issue to my CC as a "failure to deliver goods" and got a full refund.

Never again.

I placed an order with OP, in stock when ordered then email the next day saying they are on back order.

IME that is their M.O. Claim to have it, get your money, and then it's suddenly on back-order.
Just easier on me to not ever deal with them again. If I knew how to exclude their pages when searching for something, I would.
