Purchased a Tikka 22/250 with 8 twist this summer. seems to have somewhat short freebore. Have some Berger 85.5 that seem that have to be seated fairly short. [ Berger recommended length] Could be pushed out little more but not much. Shoot well at that that length anyway so if it ain't broke.

With mine I am shooting 108 ELDM over Hybrid 100V, at 2.260" CBTO.
These are break-in loads. I shot a 2.5" group at 600 and an 8.5" group at 1000. Velocity average of 12 rounds is 2985 fps at 6000 feet.

I will get serious about load development after the first 200. This thing is an absolute blast to shoot. I love it.

Awesome good to know. I ended up ordering one today lol but man 2.5" group at 600 with a factory rifle is pretty sweet man good shootin

As a side note, I bought the same thing in a 700 and the throat was long. It shot good near or just touching the lands, but at that point OAL was way too long for the magazine. When I get time, I'm going to pull the barrel and set it back with my match reamer.
Not sure how helpful this is, but I bought one last year and had it rechambered to 243 AI without shooting the factory chambering. I'm shooting 108 eld-m with 4831SC COAL 2.880 (.020 off the lands) at 3150. 22" barrel.

I wasn't aware this was an option. Thanks to OP for bringing it to light, as I've been in the market for another .243 Win. Didn't want to switch to 6mm Creed because I have so many .243 components laying around with no rifle to thrown them downrange.
