Does anyone have any experience with any Browning X bolt in 28 Nosler? I had a Max long range in 6.5 PRC. I hated it; it had an awful trigger. But other shooters rave about their Browning X Bolts.

If u get a bad trigger u can replace it with a Timney. Maybe try the spring first.

What model is yours? What scope bases does yours have?
I almost bought one from Cabela's tonight. It has such a thin barrel, and a new Timney trigger is $212.
It a max long range and I run a 20 MOA pic rail
I know couple folks who think highly of their 28 Nosler cartridge (not x-bolt though). I have x-bolts in other cartridges and I find them great. So- it may be a good combo. Out of the box, the x-bolt triggers are too heavy. I always put in the MCarbo spring ($15) before I shoot and they bring it down to about 2.1-2.2 lbs. I'm going to try the spring from GunBloke in Australia which may get it down below 2.0. The factory trigger is pretty clean break; just too heavy.

I've had my 28 nosler in the western hunter Model for years now. Love it. Shoots great, with factory ammo or handloads. I changed the trigger spring.
Now my buddy has an x bolt in 6.5cm and he had to change the trigger. I bought a matching one at the same time and all I changed was the spring in it and it fixed it. both great shooters.
Bought my son a left handed long range heavy barrel one in 6.5 and I think we changed the spring in it. It's been a great shooter also.

I have the max long range in 300 wm. As far as the rifle goes it shoots very well. It took about 200 rounds for it to settle in and was very frustrating up to that point. It likes to be clean about 40-50 rounds and it goes to **** until I clean it. That can make for some short range days. I had to use a dremel on the magazine cause the casing would hang up a little. But plenty of magazine length to seat projectiles as far out as I want. The trigger on mine isn't bad at all really. I replaced the muzzle break with the boss hog one. I wish it had a rail on the front for a bipod. Other than that I have no complaints. I had a 20 moa rail but with my current setup I don't need it anymore. I'm using Talley one piece rings and rails and have plenty of adjustment.
Look at Grab a Gun website. They discounted prices on Browning rifles and have the 28 Nosler. Plus they have rebates.
Go to their eBay store. I ordered two springs including shipping for $29.

I had a hells canyon in 28 Nosler put a Timney in it Swaro glass. Reloaded for it and could never get it to group 3 shots under 1 1/2"and same with a Winchester XPR in 6.8 Western. I'll take a $500.0 Savage over a Browning or Winchester any day. For a $1000.00 rifle it would be a Tikka or Bergara.
