I'm thinking I want to build loads with 120gr-130gr bullets…..to get speeds greater than 2900 from my 24" barreled Tikka.

My initial bullet try will be Nosler 120 E-tips, but what else should I be looking at?

What powders fill the case and perform well in this range? I have R26, R17, N550, N568 and AA 4350. I'd buy something if available.

Alpha brass and Forster dies in the mail.

I'm running a LWRC REPR Elite in a 6.5 Creed
It is extremely accurate to a 1000 yards while shooting steel and devastating on deer when hunting. All the deer that were shot with it had a complete pass thru exit wounds and the vitals devastated at 70 - 200 - 300 yards

I have been running N555 for powder, CCI 450 mag primmers and the 130 gr Berger Hybrid OTM Tacticals. Using Lapua small rifle primer brass.

I'm very happy with the setup

Good luck

CEB Maximus and McGuire bullets for monos and Nosler B-Tip for cup&core. RL-16 has worked really well in the creed but hard to find, Ramshot Biggame has also worked well with lighter bullets.
will be testing the CEB this spring in 22ARC and 6.5 creed, i prefer the fracturing style of mono over the high weight retention. the Maximus should act like a rapid expansion SST with the penetration of a bonded bullet. testing to come.

If you like ceb try the hammers. Those are my two favorite bullets and the hammers slightly win for consistency of internal trauma.

will be first time trying CEB. picked the Maximus for the fracturing, high trauma style. might also give Cavity Back or Maker a try. will only say bad taste in my mouth with Hammer from the past and that is my only comment on that manufacture.

You will like the CEB. They are my second favorite and had nothing bad to say about them. They work as advertised. Still shot them in a few things with great success.
have you found that one amount of jump that works best? they recommend the seal tite band at or just below case mouth but have you ever tried loading them long well above case mouth.

Between me and my girlfriend, we shot 3 deer and a large bull elk with 6.5creed and Berger 130otm at 2920fps. They are extremely accurate but lack a little in the killing department. They don't seem to expand and have the rapid energy dump like I'm used to with Berger. No blood trails and no DRT. I will be switching to the 130vld next year.

Staball 6.5! And Superformance. People say SF is temp sensitive and Im sure it can be in some combos but in the creed Ive run at least 3lbs, bullets from 100-147grs. Aweaome speeds that match RL26 without the temp spikes. Ive chronod my 127LRX loads at 2902 in very warm sept 90s and then 2881 at 37° in cold december. Cant see that being a problem and it is a great powder in that case.
Note, i run the chrono almost everytime im testin reloads so have a lot of data on this powder over the years in this cartridge.

Bullets for sure look at the HH, 124?. Great killing bullet. Ive had good luck with 147DRT on one big blacktail, 125 Badlands BD2 but thats nogo unless u have em already.

ETips didnt shoot fast enuff in my 6 5s to hunt em but killed good going fast in 257wby so take that for what its worth lol
