I would never shoot a deer in the face! That's why I waited for her to turn her back. I shot her in the back of the head and it exited through her face. And if you are asking why I shot her at 10 yards, it was because I could have clubbed her, but I didn't want to beat up my new Mauser M18

I kid. About the going on and on…not about the rifle, I'd love to see it.

It's dark now. I will have to wait until morning and kill another deer to lay the rifle on top of it for a photo. But then Calvin won't be able to see the deer.

But ya in the back out the front is legit.

Just for fun fellas…here's an actual decent Saskatchewan whitetail…that taunts me!

I know the fella who shot this dandy of a buck, AND IT WASNT FAR AT ALL FROM WHERE I GOT MY RUNT!!!! I've edited his face out of the pictures, but suffice to say he's smiling in them

It's no record breaker or Boone and Crocket or anything, but a real world big buck with a very stoutly built body as well, bigger than any whitetail I've ever shot by a long stretch. This big boy could have gone toe to toe in a dominance fight with most any other deer around here no doubt. Look at his neck and front shoulders…

Anyway, meat hunter or not this torments me greatly

Well….now that you have the rifle for those big, dominant bucks….what's holding you back?
