I've been wondering this myself. I currently have a Sendero CF barrel in a Sendero barrel channel stock. I was thinking about a 3b on its next barrel. @WapitiBob, thanks for sharing. It looks great.

May depend on the caliber. Prolly ok with a 6.5, a 338 may be a too thin.
I have a Preferred No2 in 338 that is 5/8-24. Haven't compared to a 3 so it may work.

By the contour that fits your weight and then find a smith that will cut 1/2threads and a blended 5/8 adapter, or 5/8 with a blended shoulder.
