Rcbs Rebel press

Yes, I am after the information not his dorkiness. His dorkiness addresses the slop you are complaining about.
I've just never seen him give an objective review. Seems like he likes everything that they send him 🤷

Nothing against the guy as I dont know him, I just don't know if he can be objective and unbiased when he is sponsored and wants the free equipment to keep rolling in.

The choice is always on the end-user.

You actually watch that dork?
Imagine asking for advice... then getting a link to something that could be helpful and then you bash a guy. Sounds like you need to spend the money on one of the top end press' that you want and move onto something else to complain about.

I realize this is an old thread. I watched the video and studied the results. All that I know is that after you got past the $900 German press, the RCBS presses were performing the best. He had tested the Rock Chucker and the Summit and it seemed like the Rock Chucker was the best of the two. It was outperforming the popular Forster Co-ax press for produced run out.

He didn't have the Rebel press available when he did the testing and I wonder if it performs as well as the Rock Chucker. The Rebel is supposed to be replacing the Rock Chucker but the Rock Chucker is still available. I am on the fence if I should get the Rebel or the Rock Chucker. I am currently reloading on an early 70's model RCBS JR2 and I wonder if a new press would even be an upgrade or not.

His results did surprise me somewhat. I really thought that the Forster and even the Frankford Arsenal would have been the best on the runout.

I have one of the rebel presses, and while it does produce good loads, the ram linkage has some slop and play in it. It just chaps my *** and I want to get rid of that wobble.
I was thinking of using some o rings or something similar to tighten up the linkage...has anyone remedied this problem before?
I have a Rockchucker that has been a great press. However, I damaged the link pin this spring and wasn't sure if I'd be able to get another pin so I went shopping a bit. I looked at the Rebel, but no ram priming cooked it's goose. I finally settled in with a Redding Big Boss and the ram priming unit they have for it. Essentially I remedied the problem by not going there.

As far as an O ring- I don't think that will help for more than a few dozen passes on the press. Possibly a couple washers to take up some play...
