I voted early and wisely. I'm in PA, every vote is crucial here. I urge everyone to get out and vote and use that privilege wisely, we can't afford four more years.

If you don't vote, then IMO you have NO right to complain…if things don't go your way.
It is also very important to do 'due diligence' - dig a bit into the initiatives, especially local ones, actually READ them and not rely on the media or online pundits. The fine print really counts, not just the brief summary on the ballot. You can also easily look into the voting record of incumbents, decisions by judges, etc. Usually the challenger is moving up and has voting records as well. One race I wasn't sure of I actually called the guy up and asked him various questions on his positions.
Oh! On my ballot were "advisory questions"
One written in a way that would make insurance companies cover reproductive procedures (abortions) but the example given was in-vitro procedures.
Another was increase taxes on the wealthy, but the move is also to tax retirements and other taxes on the regular wage earners.

I voted for a presidential candidate who will not win in my state. I'm okay with that. If everyone who believes their candidate will not win (even with supporting evidence) doesn't vote, then they are correct. If they vote anyway, they might get a positive surprise... because the other guy's supporters might also believe their individual vote doesn't matter because their candidate will win anyway. While the percentage of eligible voters who vote has been high for the last few presidential campaigns, a lot of times less than half of eligible voters actually vote. Your vote can matter.
Think of voting for your preferred candidate who will not win in your state as a symbolic act of defiance, of a way to flip the bird to the idiots in the majority. It is still a very powerful exercise of a civil right that is still not common in the world; the majority of the world's population have no possible say in who runs their country. And, while not voting is a right, not voting also gives you no ground to stand on to complain about the winner... you didn't vote.
I hope you voted for the candidate I supported, but either way let's all remember that we are Americans who have a lot in common, and resolve to put partisanship aside after the election and work together for a better country.

We voted by "mail in" also, actually we hand delivered to the court house!
The lines are so long here in rural Wyoming
, we didn't want to wait in line! Plus, it gave us a reason to go to town this month! memtb
