Best compact range finder

So it is time to start looking for a new rangefinder and I would like to hear some opinions.
I am first a hunter and second a target shooter
Want something I can program my rifle info into but is not too bulky
I am also not spending 2k on something
I shoot a bunch from 500 out to 1200 in open country

I use Revic BR4 and like it.

There are probably 50 threads on this in the last 12 months alone. The same 2 or 3 recommendations don't change. 10 pages from a simple search using Range Finder with a thread date no earlier than 2022.

  Range finder advice

  My Leupold range finder went belly up. I'm looking for advice on a replacement. I don't need one with all the bells and whistles. I'm looking for one that is easy to use in the $200 - $400 price range with a decent warranty . It will be used mostly for handgun hunting.

  I'm m in the market for a new ballistic range finder. I am looking at the vortex razor 4000 gb. The sig 8k and the device br4.   Scopes that display a range finder & shooting solution

  I see where Burris has several models of range finding scopes as well as Arken. I'm sure there are other venders out there as well. These two came to mind.Does anyone know how well this style really works out in the real word usage?

  Leica Geovid Pro 10x32 vs 10x42 (with or without AB+)

  Is there a difference in glass. Yes. It's it night and day, no. To me it it would be like comparing a ZCO to a ATACR. Both nice, but the ZCO is just nicer. The rangefinder on the other hand is light years above the Leica.

  Leica Geovid Pro 10x32 vs 10x42 (with or without AB+)

  What makes the Sig so much better? MyPrimary concern is as a binocular first and range finder second so optics is key.

  Leica Geovid Pro 10x32 vs 10x42 (with or without AB+)

  I no longer use my Leica 10x42 Pro AB. I run the Sig 10k Gen2. The Leica glass is marginally better, but the range finders do not compare. The Gen2 is fabulous.

the sig 2400 abs or sig 8k abs I've liked both.I had 3 Kecia's before that and a broken expensive vextronix terrapin, that was great in its day.To expensive for a fix, poor warranty

I have the Revic BR4 and it is a great device for the most part. Two things in my opinion that would make it better is to change from 10X to 7X and redesign the "Fire" button.

If you are a bit on the shaky side and do not have the device steady 10X is a bit much. Add that to the effort it takes to depress the FIRE button and you can be all over the place taking that reading.

My opinion anyway.
