my search only came back with stiller and dillon, but not in repeaters? the rigby bolt faces are easier to find (well for me anyway). for the 375 and up calibers using gibbs and ? faces is my query? looking for options that are NOT single fed. is there a minimum bolt diameter best for strength (ie, .750 vs .800+)? possibly more question too follow?

The best repeater in 416 Rigby and larger are the CZ 550 Safari Magnum actions.
I have 3, one is plain Jane 416 Rigby. The other 2 are highly modified switch barrels to utilise my 416 Rigby Improved cartridges in 30, 33, 37 & prototype 408. These 2 have been made into single shots so I can run 4.1"+ rounds through them, rear bridge, ejector blade and internal milling so loaded rounds will eject.
These are no longer made, but are still cheap enough on the used market. Barrels don't need extractor cuts, makes it easy to use shouldered barrels.
Other than those, Borden makes the perfect action size and bolt diameter.

Cheers.

There is also Granite Mountain, if you're willing to wait and spend the money.... about as good an action as can be had.

Nothing wrong with the Weatherby MKV action for building big repeaters. They handle the 460 Bee, a 416 would be no problem. The CZ is another good choice, as are the modern Ruger, Mauser, Blaser and Steyer actions. There are no shortage of choices. If you want to get real spendy you can order one made by Rigby or Holland and Holland.

This site takes a LONG time to load.

This query needs some work since it was probably manhandled on a phone...

The 'Rigby' bolt face as you ask is 0.590" which is in reality the standard 'Lapua' bolt face of which there are quite a number of manufacturers to find. Up until recently I was using the Defiance actions until the change of ownership. Now I use:

BAT
Stiller
Pierce
Surgeon
Kauger
Kelbly
Barnard (when they make their comeback or buy one on the secondary market)
Borden
Sako TRG-S
There are other I know but I haven't made my way into their lairs...

Bigger than the Lapua though is the CheyTac or 0.640" rim diameter. Here you will be in the netherworld of the big boys. Most actions I use for these cartridges come from BAT. Pierce makes the 20X action which is perfect for all those big boomers.

Most of this sort of searching requires a great search engine and Google has failed as of their last major overhaul. Find one that suits you and lock it down.

Enjoy!

ADDED:

JJ Rock hasn't played on this field for the last couple of years. They got absolutely inundated with orders so they simply stopped taking orders. To my knowledge, they have yet to resume accepting orders.

I've been using Granite Mountain actions since Mike started his company up selling this design. Mike has retired and his nephew is handling things now. While these are noteworthy in both size and cartridge management, they still require some work for them to be acceptable. I have three on my bench now as we converse.

Lazzeroni did research on one of their cartridges with a large shank Savage action.

Supposedly they reached over 70,000psi before the chamber permanently deformed. But said that the action was still good.

Westly Richards has, and still does, build repeater rifles in the dangerous game cartridges.
