I'm looking for a new rangefinder to replace an old Sig. I want a basic unit without ballistic software. I do want reasonably good optic quality, ranging on critters out to about 1,000 and simplicity of use.

I'm currently looking at a Raven RF1 but I'm open to other suggestion within my price range. Your thoughts?

Leica CRF 2400R or Revic BR4. Both have great glass and over a 1000 yd capability. That said, I'd opt instead for the Leica range finding binocular instead of carrying both a binocular and a separate range finder. This way you're not fumbling around with 2 gadgets, increasing time, and increasing weight.
