I'm selling an Ithaca/SKB Model 280E "Quail Special" 20 gauge double-barrelled shotgun. This particular model has 25" barrels choked IC and IC, and has an English stock and beavertail forend. It's a super quick-handling shotgun and designed for flushing birds like quail, woodcock, grouse, or pheasant. An aftermarket adjustable buttplate has been fitted by a prior owner and the LOP is 13.5"... I am 5'6" with a 32" sleeve length and this gun shoulders and points excellently for anyone under 6' and without ape-like arms, especially when wearing a hunting coat. The gun weighs 5.8 lbs according to the Ithaca catalogs and is a pleasure to carry and shoot. There is one small mark on the blueing that looks like a 1/2" hair, on the right barrel just ahead of the forend on the bottom. The gun rates at NRA Excellent, and the bores are spotless. I acquired this beautiful gun, a dream gun from my youth, several years ago, took it shooting once and enjoyed it, but have too many shotguns (too many guns in general) and as I'm aging I'm consolidating and thinning the herd.
These go from the high $1,000s to the low $2,000s depending on condition. The two comps I've found went for $1,700 and $2,200 plus shipping. I'll sell this for$1,699 $1,599 including shipping to your FFL in a hard case. I prefer USPS Postal Money Orders (not 7-11 money orders, sorry, been burned) or PayPal F&F (do not mention guns... shhhh!).
If you're serious, you know what this gun is, and if you want one, you will be very happy.
